These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the OpenIntel platform (“OpenIntel”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using OpenIntel, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

Overview of Service

OpenIntel is an open-source intelligence (OSINT) platform that enables users to generate structured intelligence reports based on publicly available data.

The platform uses automated processes to collect, analyze, and present information from open sources. Outputs may include summaries, reports, citations, and entity analysis.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to use OpenIntel.

If you are using OpenIntel on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use OpenIntel only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not:

  • use the platform for harassment, stalking, or intimidation

  • use the platform to facilitate illegal activities

  • attempt to identify or target individuals for harm

  • use the platform to generate or distribute false or misleading information

  • reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform’s operation

  • attempt to access restricted systems or data

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of acceptable use.

Nature of OSINT Data

OpenIntel relies on publicly available information (“open-source data”).

You acknowledge that:

  • data may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate

  • multiple sources may contain conflicting information

  • entity resolution may not always be correct

OpenIntel does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any output.

No Professional Advice

Outputs generated by OpenIntel are for informational purposes only.

They do not constitute:

  • legal advice

  • financial advice

  • investigative conclusions

  • due diligence certification

You are solely responsible for how you interpret and use the information.

User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • verifying information before relying on it

  • complying with applicable laws and regulations

  • ensuring lawful use of any generated reports

OpenIntel is not responsible for decisions made based on platform outputs.

Reports and Generated Content

Reports generated by OpenIntel:

  • are based on automated analysis of public data

  • include source-linked citations where available

  • may change upon regeneration or updates

You may use generated reports for internal or professional purposes, subject to these Terms.

You must not misrepresent OpenIntel outputs as verified fact without independent validation.

Credits, Billing, and Usage

OpenIntel may operate on a credit-based or subscription model.

  • credits are used to generate or modify reports

  • credits are non-refundable unless required by law

  • unused credits may expire or remain valid as specified at purchase

We reserve the right to modify pricing and usage policies with reasonable notice.

Intellectual Property

OpenIntel retains all rights to:

  • the platform

  • underlying technology

  • data processing systems

  • proprietary workflows

You retain ownership of inputs you provide.

You may use generated outputs, subject to these Terms, but may not:

  • resell the platform

  • replicate or build competing services using OpenIntel outputs at scale
